Hirjth score prizes for the evening went to Mrs. Oscar Dencer and Wil liam E. Moses. Gifts which ladened the decorated tree were exchanged by the mem bers as part of their Christmas fro lic. The next meeting of the Sans Soucl club will be held at the new country home of Mr. and Mrs. Den cer. llavi'sville Women j Have Holiday Party Hayesville The Christmas meet ing of the Woman's club was held at the home of Mrs. E. L. Moore last week with Ida Denny assisting. The rooms of the Moor home were gayly decorated with Christmas motif while a lighted Christmas tree added much to the attractiveness f the room. Several Items of importance were disposed of during the business meeting. Sewing was the diver sion lor the remainder of the af ternoon. Refreshments, also in keeping with the holidays, were served to Mrs. A. Batdorf. Mrs. Fred Wil liams, Mrs. J. L. Morrison, Mrs. Clark Ritchey. Mrs. Dave Janzen. Mrs. Beers. Mrs. Rovilla McAfee, Mrs. C. Bedwell, Mrs. Robin Day. Mrs. Claude Talmadge. Mrs. Char les Reed, Mrs. Campbell. Mrs. Min nie Rirkman, Mrs. Flzabsth Siddell, Mrs. Brilla Halbcrt, Mrs. Burr Teel. The Calvary Baptist Women's Missionary society held a Christmas party and social afternoon in the church parlors Friday. Hostesses for the affair were Mrs. Sain Vail, Mrs. P. C. Pratt. Mrs. Ed Bingenhelnipr was in harge of the Christmas program which consisted of devotions led by Mrs. Behrens. vocal numbers by Mrs. Julia Harms, reading by Mrs. Walter Kelson, playlet by Mrs. Pratt and her daughter, Mrs. Wright, and vio lin solos by Mrs. Clarence Bowes. Christmas decorations were used about the rooms and in the church dining room where members were wired at small tables appropriately decorated with Christmas greenery and lighted with red tapers. Mi.1; Mina Giles poured and Mrs. W. F. Foster cut ices. Jerry' Stone was host on his 15th birthday anniversary Saturday night with a line party at the Capitol theater followed by games and re freshments at his home with his mother. Mrs. Stephen A. Stone, serving. Twelve boys, schoolmates of Jerry's, were his guests during the evening. Sons of Veterans and their aux iliary will hold their annual Christ mas party Tuesday nittht at the Woman's club building. A 6 o'clock duiner will be followed by a pro gram. Mrs. (lodi'iry Hostess Monday Mrs. Ida B. Godfrey will enter tain at her home Monday evening with her annual Christmas dinner and Christmas party. An exchange of gifts about the large, brilliantly lighted Christmas tree will follow the dinner. Christian (lioir Cun cert Sunday The First Christian church choir, assisted by the Miulrigal club and the Salem Civic Male chorus, will give1 a sacred concert next Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock in the First Christian church under the direc tion of Prof. E. W. Huuson. The entire chorus will be composed of 50 voices. Miss Ruth Bedford and Miss Lois Phimmer will be accom panists. Soloists in the concert will be Herbert Hobson, Wendell Robinson. Miss Dccna Hart and Miss Dorothy Shepherd. The gilts from both groups will be presented to the children at the state tuberculosis hospital. The Parrish seventh grade Girl Reserves will meet at the school and tile ninth grade group will meet at the Y. YV. C. A. with Miss Gladys Taylor and Miss Helen Prang, on Tuesday, to complete their gilts for the hospital children. Wednesday afternoon Mrs. B. E. Carrier will take the gilts from the Girl Reserves out to the hos pital and will bs accompanied by Elizabeth Lewis, Natalie Neer, Helen Wiedmr, Margaret Moore and Grace Skinner as representa tives of the Reserves. The hk'h school proup will mret Tuesday evening for a class in tooling and at 8 o'clock will po car olling at several institutions and homes under the direction of their advisor. An attractive 7:30 o'clock no-host dinner entertained numbers of the Past Matrons club Saturday night at the home of Mrs. Ida Godfrey. The dinmr preceded the annual Christinas party of the group, which was held about a big cnristmas tree with Mrs. Alice Meyers acting as Santa Claus. Gills were ex changed by the members. Stayton Cluh Reports On Oregon Products StaytonwAn Interesting meeting was held by the Stayton Woman's club, followed by a Christmas pro gram, on Thursday afternoon. Re jtorts were made by tlie committee In charge of the Oregon products dinner held recently by the members that a net profit of $56 was made. It' was decided that at the next meeting each member would report on some Oregon product, old and new, that she had used, and this suggestion with the name of the member would be posted in the club house for future reference. This Is being done in order to keep up the spirit of using Oregon products In preference to out of the slate, when quality and price are equalled. The club also decided to reduce the debt on the building and to pur chase a dozen more chairs for the , club house. After the business session a short program was given by Medanie& Sarah Sehmid, Josephine Rock, Edith WriKht. Ruth Woods and Eu nice TobicT The large fireplace in the club house was a pretty setting for the Christmas scene, together with fir trees, ferns and lighted red candles. The theme of the program was "Review of the Christmas Pro gram.' with parts taken by Alvln and Laurence Schmid. Frank Tobie and Darrel Wright, with the aid of the committee. The alternoon was siient in playing games after which refreshments were served. The R. N. Roderick Lives ley. son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Li vestry; George Belt, son of Judge and Mrr. Harry Belt; and Paul Franklin, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Franklin, have arrived from Atascadero, Calif., where Uy are students at the Moran school for boys. They are spending a two weeks' holiday with their parents here. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Paulsen of Portland wre guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Rowland over the week-end. Mr. Paulsen attended the homecoming banquet ofs Pacific Lodge No. 50. A. F. & A. M. on Fri day night. He is a past master of the oldge. The regular meeting of the Mc Kinley Parent-Teacher association will be held in the school building Tuesday night at 7:45 o'clock. Wright were given a surprise at their home on Third street by a group of friends in honor of the twelfth anniversary of their mar riage. BEND PEOPLE Gt'ESTS Aurora Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Tyler of Bend are guest of Mrs. Tyler's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Oribble, while visiting other rela tives and friends. Mrs. Tyler, who Is a former teacher in the Aurora grammar school spent a day visit ing her former pupils.
