Bums also took the second round In a boxing exhibition. In the third round the Salem fighter opened up and started boring In. Burns mlns ed 1-2-3 and Bnyea hit him with a left to the neck that esnt the Seat tle boy to the canvas for the count of nine. Bnyea took the fourth round by a Inrgo margin. Phil kept jabbing the Seattle boy his lefts. Burns tried hard to get up but was unable to rise. Demps Hlller of Corvallls, who wns plainly out of condition, last night lost to "Spark Plug" McCoy In the fourth round of the schedul ed six-round scml-wlndup. The boys slugged hard until Hiller weatl to th floor. He ha bn sick for the past few days and challenged McCoy for a return battle. George Dickson of Tacoma and Shadow Gretz of Salem fought four rounds to a draw. They hit hard and often and put up one of the best bouts of the evening. Both fighters tipped the scales at 142. Battling Bill Kendall lost his first fight In some time when Art Mayer also of Salem outpointed him In a preliminary full of com edy and action. Kendall took con siderable punishment but without slowing up.
