Turkey Boasting Feature Wednesday
As a special foature In the program on Wednes
day afternoon, Mies Lowen will prepare a Thanks
giving turkey. Some now Ideas In dressing and
fixings will be reveafled.

before adding. Mold In lone rolls
or pack in a deep pan like bread
pan, and roll In a clean cloth. Let
stand In a cold place until bard,
then slice very thin and baka at
350 degrees until brown (about 10
minutes). ,
Brownies A
8 squares of chocolate
cup of fat
1 cup of white sugar
teaspoon alt
cup of ftuor '
cup of nuta

Melt chocolate and add to the
melted fat. Add sugar and erg'
and then the flour and the salt
Mix In the chopped nuts, pour in
greased baking pans and bake at
850 degrees for about 30 minutes.
They -will look half baked, but
mark off squares or strip when
taken from oven and they will cool
that way. Remove from pans
when cold. These cookies have a
fudge taste.

baking contest will do well to be on hand early,

Fudge Cake
1-3 cup butter
1 H cups sugar '
3 eggs
2V4 cups flour .
3 teaspoons baking powdor
1 teaspoon salt
H cup cocoa
1 cup milk
1 cups chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mocha Cake
6 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powdor
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoons Mocha extract
(or strong coffee)
1 cup flour
This cake Is delicious baked In
layers at 400 dogreee for 25 min
utes and then spread with whip
ped cream, Mocha tlarored or fill
ed with cooked custard and top
ped, with Mocha frosting.
Apple Filling-
t apples
1 lemon
1 cup sugar
Pare and grate tart apples of
good size. Add Juice and grated
rind of lemon and then the sugar.
Cook B minutes, stirring constantly.
Cool before spreading on cake.
Jelly Filling
1 glass Jelly
1 egg white
Whip the jelly and then Add the
unbeaten egg white and with egg
beater beat until stiff enough to
hold shape.
