More than ixty rel atives and friends of the yount; couple attended the ceremony which was performed by Rev Achor, pastor of .the Presbyter ian church Jn Woodlmrn. At one end of the living room of the Cutwforth home was erect ed a bower of ferns and chrysan themums before which the brid al party assembled. Mrs. IT. D. Mars of Jefferson, played Mendelssohn's wedding march. The bride wore a beautiful handmade French model of ashes of roses flat crepe. It was made simply with a long bodice and the only trimming was gorgeous omnroniory on the over skirt. She carried a shower bouquet of pinl nnd while rosebuds. She was giv en away In marriage by her fath er, J. C. Cutsforth. Mies Mae Hall, the bride's onlv attendant, wore an attractive frock of blond satin backed crepe with a georgette over dress. Her Ho were were pink chryeanthe - mums nnd white carnations. Everett Booster served as best man for his brother. An informal reception follow cd the ceremony. The bride cut the wedding enkc. Her bouquet was caught by Miss Verna Kep-pinger. Assisting In the serving in the dining room were Miss vera Jew- ett, Mies Helen Corey, Mrs. Cecilc Bowden, Miss Verna Keppinger, Miss Dorothy Ellis and Mies Ce- cile Collins. Mr. nnd Mrs. Booster left last night for a two weeks visit in the Puget Sound district. On their re turn they will make their home on Mr. Booster's ranch between Wood burn nnd St. Paul. A number of pre-nuptinl affairs were given In Salem for Mrs. Booster who for the past few years has been employed In the public service commission office In the state bouse. The- regular social meeting of the Salem business and profes sional women's club will be held In the chamber of commerce au ditorium on Wednesday evening beginning at eight o'clock. Miss Genevieve Endicott, stu dent mi rue in Good Samaritan hospital in Portland spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Endicott. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Panlsen entertained informally at bridge in their honor. An event of interest to people of Salem and vicinity is the local corn show and fair to be held In the Liberty community ball, Tuesday afternoon and evening, November 17. Winning exhibits will bo entered in the Marion county corn show to be held in Salem Nov. 13-21. In connection with this affair the Liberty Woman's club will hold a gift bazaar, the proceeds of which are to be used to promote community welfare. A cafeteria supper will be served from 6 to 8 o'clock. Spe cial band music will be a feature of the evening. Members of the American Le gion and their wives will be guests tonight at a social meet ing in McCornack hall of the Am erican Legion auxiliary. A pro gram and lunch will follow a short business meeting. The 0. N. Jones, elected to the New Jersey Assembly, are anti-Prohibitionists. They want the State Blue Laws abolished. It is their belief that prohibition exists only for the poor man. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. The city federation of Interde nominational missionary societ ies will meet Tuesday November 17 at 2:30 in the parlors of the Congregational church. C. A. Kclls of the YMCA will speak on Migratory Labor. Mr. Kells Is In a position to have wide observa tion on this subject. Also Mrs. Ada Miller of this city will re port on the convention of home missions held at Los Angeles re cently. Mrs. Miller was a Salem delegate to this convention. Mrs. P. A. Elliott is president of thi6 organization and Mrs. John O. Humphreys is secretary-treasurer. All women of the city are cor dially invited. The general committee and chairmen of all booths and side shows of the pre-Thanksgiving carnival to be held in St. Joseph's auditorium, November 22, 23 and 24th, will meet in the auditorium tonight at 7:30 to arrange the positions of the booths and side shows. The bride wjire a brown bend ed georgette frock and carried yellow roses. Mrs. Francis Mason of Portland, sister in law of the bride, attended her as matron of honor. Her gown was ot brown silk. Wm.
