West Salem, Or., Nov. 6. The
senior Epworth league ot the local
ehurch was eutertained at a Hal
lowe'en party at tho homo of Mr.
and Mrs. S. M. Cieesy. The house
was beautifully decorated in the
Hallowe'en colors and seasonable
flowors, with autumn leaves, Jack
o' lanterns and black cat, to add
a ghostly appearance to the dec
orations, where several ghosts act
ed as hostess for the occasion, as
they etalhed to and from among
the guests. A very happy time
was spent playing games, after
which a very dainty luncheon was
sorvod.

bers welcome Mrs. Phillips as
their now leader and will do all
they can to help her. An all day
quiting bee will be held In the
