When ho camo to, ths game was over, tho St. Ignatlua team making two touchdowns in the last quarter. The Maro Island team is coach ed by "Duke" Hodler, former O. A. C. star. Approxi mately 35,000 young trout were planted near Detroit, Friday, dis tributed as follows: 8000 Boulder creek, 10,000 Hansen creek, 2000 Mackay creek, 10.000 Breitenbush river and 5000 TumMo creek. The fabled "bridge of the gods" across the Columbia river just be low the Cascade locks, is to be re constructed in modern steel- Legends of the red men euy that once a stone archway spanned the river at Ibis point. Contracts for conetructlon of the bridge have Just been signed, and work will begin at once. The structure will he ready for use by next July, It Is announced. About three years ago work' was begun on tho new "bridge of the gods," but wae abandoned. Walla Walla. Wash., and Port land financiers oro back of the cojnpany which is building the bridge, which will cost $000,000. The bridge will be $1530 feet long, exclusive of approaches.
