Miss Carney has a rare soprano volco whose richness of tono and fineness of timber 'e very unusual. She will be accom Pauline Snyder, daughter of the blind medium. Both sightless visitors sura na tives of Orofon and have spent all their lives in this state. They will conduct their services In the W. O. D. hall on Liberty street. In speaking o her blindness, Mrs. Snyder said: "Almost everyone looks upon blindness as the roost tragic tor row o! life. When the doctors first told uie th.it 1 would never again ho able to see. I w so horrified, to utterly crushed and stricken that 1 prayed for death. I didn't wunt to live, to feel and tumble and grope my way through darkened days of life. To dav 1 can look back upon my years of anguish and smile. It took the encouragement of a single loyal friend and the Inestimable help of the Salem school tor the blind U make me see that life was still worth the living.
