'The old time dance, which was held In St. Joseph's auditorium last night was a great success. The decorations were unique and becoming the season, and the spe cialties In dancing and singing lent a pleasing note to the whole affair. Old time, dances were ln tersperced with modern ones. Mr. Anderson was a member of the choruses and the male quartet from the Salem high school which won so many honors at the inter state music tournament at Forest Grove last April. Mrs. E. C. Peets of Portland will be the week end house guest of Mrs. L. R. LeFurgy and Mrs. Homer Smith. Mrs. Peets Is presi dent of the Portland MacDowell club and will be the honor guest at a reception following the club concert on Monday evening. Dr. and Mrs. W. H.
