THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 1925 " HEALTH STAFF TO ATTEND MEET HERE SATURDAY Dr. Walter lrown, head of the Mirion county child health dem ofstrution, aiid his eutiro stuff -jf 21 will be prosuit ut the moetiug at the cliumher of commerce here Saturday, when repveaeutative cit izens from all parts of the county will Uq present. It la expected that all phases of the work of the d i' in 011 st rut ion will come up. There are 10,000 school chil dren in the county under the last census, of which practically 6u0u are in the Sulcin district. Under plans recently arrunged through tho demonstration every one of the ten schools in Salem will ho visited daily by a nurse employed and paid by tho demon stration and tho physical condi tion of every child vill be ascer tained The same service will also be aavilable to the various other schools o the county. It is slated that at the present time thero are three other counties in the United States where the Commonwealth fund program Is at about the sum a stage that it is here. The three other counties are at Fargo, N. D., Athens, Ga., and Murphysboro, Teun. Service Is being; conducted there under the same arrangements as here. NO MORE BODIES FOUND IN WENATCHEE DEBRIS . Wenatchee, Wn., Sept. 10. No more bodiej hu been found In the debris at the Great Northern terminal at Apple Yard, swept by a flood resulting from a cloud burst la the mountains on Satur day, It waa announced today. Three steam shovels and a large crow of men are working night and day to clear up the wreckage. Four persons are known to be missing. The work of clearing the debris was today taken over by the rail road and Chelan county as the re sult ot an agreement reached with the county commissioners. The county has appropriated $1500 tor the work, providing for a crew of 50 men. BARBER SHOP BALKS AT 65 CENT HAIR CUTS Portland, Sept. 10 One down town barber shop yesterday broke with the barbers union and refus ed to adopt a new scale of prices advancing hair cute from 50 cents to 65 cents, and shavea from 23 to 33 cents. The new rates were adopted under an agreement be tween the master barbers and the barbers' union this week. Non union men were employed In the dissenting barbershop. Master barbers will meet tonight to consider the defection of this barber shop from the agreement. "The Central men proposed to establish their claim on the 29th day of April when there was only 14 miles of track to be laid, t( connect with the Union at Prom ontory Point.
