Ac cording to Inspector Pettit, simi lar "stunts" have been perpetrat ed by medical students In other sections of the country. He said that the appearance' of the body, which seemed to have been nearly consumed in the flnmlng straw, might have been perfected thru the use of chemicals. The location in one of the most out of the way places in two counties of the body might have been carefully planned to permit the perpetrators of the possible hoax to escape, Pettit said. Ho added that there Is a med ical school at Kirksville nnd that the call to officers in that town, asking them to arrest "Warren Taylor" might have been added as a final "teaser" to the probable "crimeless murder." ELEVEN KILLED IN TRAIN CRASH Amiens, Prance, Aug. 14 (API Eleven persons were killed and 160 Injured last night when a crowded Paris-Calais express of 20 coaches of merrymakers bound for the seashore plied up and burst Into flames just as it swept into the Amiens station. The train Is said to have been going at 60 miles on hour Instead of having, slowed up outside the station as the rules require. The passengers were mostly In third class sections and so far as Is known no Americans were among the dead or Injured, The engineer, for unknown rea sons, Jammed on the brake while the train was going at high speed. The baggage car was derailed. Seven of the forward third class cars were telescoped and the re maining cars toppled on their sides. Gas tanks In the old fashioned gas lighted coaches exploded. three coaches beinir set on fire. It Is feared other bodies still are in the wreckage. Tho engineer escaped unhurt and his mental condition Is being examined. IN ROCK RAVINE Albuquerque, N. M., Aug. 18 (APh Stripped of olothlng and wrapped In rugs, the body of an unidentified woman, believed to have been murdered, was found burled In a rock crevice In the hills about two miles north of Bluewat er, 75 miles west of Albuquerque, Tuesday, It became known here to day. Liberty bonds and rln found near the body furnished the only clue as to Identity. The bonds of $376 valuation bear the name of Mrs. Stella Oliver, San Fernan do, Cal. Four rings were found In the clothing and on the hands. The body was found burled un der a pile of rocks about 160 yards from a road wlilch branches from the main highway. It Is believed that the woman had been dead for at least a month. Decomposition rendered a description extremely difficult. She Is described how ever, as about 40 years old and weighing about 100 pounds. No marks of violence could be found on the body, according to officials.
