Bids from 20 individuals and companies wero opened by the fleet corpora tion Tuesday for sale of 200 ship ping board vessels for scrapping, but the name o Henry Ford did not appear. No explanation was available as to why Mr. Ford, who had indicat ed an intenhdh ot bidding did not submit a tender and Chairm.ni O'Connor of tle shipping' board aid he had received no communi cation from the manufacturer on tho eubject. The bids were for varying nuM bers of tho vessels under varying conditions and differed widely. Only one bid for the entire 200 was received, it being from the Boa ton & Tron Metal company of Baltimore for a blanket sale fit $1,370,000. The General Metil Supply company of Oakland, Cal., made an offer for 193 vessels, un der varying conditions which Tan from $42000 to $0000 each. BANKERS PLAY .
