attempt a flight to Minnesota in

directed that the Shenandoah
make the trip as soon as possible
after he had received word from

In a fast and hard fought game
in the Sundown league series the
Bag lee defeated the Portland Elec
trie Power nine on the Oxford di
amond last night by a ecore of 9
to 6. The winners played excel
lent ball in the field and hit at
opportune timee.
The score was tied twice dur
ing the contest, once in the third
and once in the fourth. In the
fourth, after Regele, pitcher for
the Eagles had been relieved by
Chapman, the PEP team started
rally, when they brought in
four runs to -tie the score. Chap
man settled down and the PEP
nine was only able to score twice
more while the Eagles hit the
power hurler for five more tal
lies. Miesler caught for the winners.
Merriot, pitcher for the losers,
received good support from the
field, his teammates pulling him
out of several tight places. The
PEP players were rather weak at
thp hat, however.
Turner of the Power company
team showed lots of speed on the
bases, scoring two runs vhen
needed. Tonight the Valley Mo
tor nine and the Legion will meet
n the twilight league series.
This game will bring the sched
ule to the half way mark. The
Legion team ie going strong, hav-
