ing of tho executive committee of
tho board of trustees of Willam
ette university yesterday. A resolu
tion adopted by the committee ex
pressed confidence In tho students.

called upon to criticize university
activities. The resolution read as
follows:
"The attention of the executive
committee of Willamette univer
sity has been culled to certain
criticisms of the M;iy day festivi
ties of this year. The trustees wish
to assure our patrons and friends
of our regret that our friends
should find anything objectionable
in the conduct of any oi the large
number of students upon our cam
