An sel to bring to thU city the bal ance of the paraphernalia uaed in the enormous et ill recently seized at -Joe Walker ranch near that city. Bremmer expect, to tak. the remainder of the still property un der protest, if not asainst open opposition on the part ot Walk er. He received a hint ot this a few days ago when Walker de clared that he would Mutest against any more of the property ueing taken, the protest belnc made on the advice of liia attor ney, Guy O. Smith. The property still to be brought here includes 16 large mash vats, and some minor ap paratus usea in connection with the manufacture of the liquor. it is oelleved that Walker will go no further tban to make to! uble protest against tn removal or me rata and apparatus when uremmer appears on the scene. It Is understood the protest Is made In connection with the mo tion filed by Smith to quash the case and have the property re turned to the defendants on the ground that the officers acted without authority In making the raid, that the search warrant was insufficient, that the officers had no warrant to make the arrests and that they did not see a crime committed. The motion is now on appeal from justice court. It Is generally understood that Walker, owner of the ranch on which the still was seized, had no particular connection with the active operation ot the plant, but merely rented his property to the moonshiners for the purpose of manufacturing liquor. The still in question, officers say, was the largest ever seized In the west. Over 4500 gallons of mash were seized in the raid and several hundred gallons of liquor.
