On Friday the daughters wers the luncheon guests of ths Astoria chamber of commerce. Following the dinner Friday evening the Friday Musical club of Astoria entertained the assembly at a de lightful program. Mrs. E. C. Apperson of Mc- lllnnvllle today was elected state vice regent by the annual Oregon conference. She succeeds Mrs. A. A. Finch of Astoria, who will re move from the state and has re signed her office. As the officers of the confer ence hold offife for two years, no further officers were elected to day. IJefore adjourning at noon to day, the conference accepted the Invitation of Mrs. Fletcher Linn, regent of Multnomah chapter of Portland, to meet in the Hose City in 1026 as the guests of Multnomah chapter. Jones in her conclud ing remarks thanked the dele gate for their earnest spirit, their courtesy and their attention and added her thanks to that of the conference for the work of the Astoria chapter and the hos pitality of the city. Most of the delegates left for their homes on the early after noon train, a special car being provided for their uae. Last night the conference ban quet was held In the Hotel As toria with the state regent act ing as toasttnaster. Following the dinner, the D. A.
