Dottier were present from all over the state. Upwards of 35 men were present at the meeting, representing not only bottling work but supply men whose business is connetei with the industry. The winter's social activities of the Wednesday afternoon bridge club culminated last week when the ladies entertained their hus bands at an evening session at the hospitablo home of Postmas ter and Mrs. L. II. Rhorey. The high scores were won by Mrs. Keith Powell nnd Fred Kvenden. Mr. and Mrs. Hlnln McCord and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Evcnden were guests of honor, as a result of the total scores won by the two la dies for the season. A very elabo rate luncheon was served at the cloae of the evening. Those pres ent were Mr. nnd Mrs. Kugene Courtney. Mr. nnd Mrs. Keith Powell. Mr. nnd Mrs. R. G. Em mett, Mr. nnd Mrs. R. L. The final basket ball game of the Woodburn high school season was played with Rilverton Friday night at Rilverton. In the boys game which fol lowed Woodburn was winner by twelve points the xcore being 20-8. The team bettered by one point the score of tbe former Wood burn-Silver ton game which was 20-9. This gume closes i succ?uful season for Woodburn. Mrs. Charles Templeton nnd Mrs. Koht. Grey of Otiwego, werr the inspiration of a delightful af ternoon tea last Thursday at the home of Mrs. H. L. GUI of whom they were house guests. Mrs. Grey has been a frequent visitor to Woodburn and Mrs. Templeton was a former resident, so the af ternoon was spent in renewing friendships. Silverton friends are sorry to hear of the death of Dorothy, the daughter and only child of Rev. and Mrs. F. A. Hoss, who nt one time held evangelistic meetings at the Christian church nt Silverton.
