In the exhibit will be Included wa ter and oil painting, posters, book plates and etch in pe, that are the work of Mr. Euwer, poet and artist. This is virtunlly the eame exhibit eo successfully given in the Multnomah hotel early in No vember. Under the direction of Mrs. J. M. Clifford who is largely respon sible for the showing In Salem, the formal opening will be the occasion of a .le'istitful gathering of Arts league 21 ambers and tbeii friends at the Marion tomorrow evening beginning at eight o'clock. Mr. Euwer will give a short talk on his work and sev eral musical numbers will be given. Mrs. Clifford will be asateted by Mrs. Gertrude Robinson Rosa, Mrs. J. W. Harbison, Mrs. F. G. Franklin. Mrs. Morton E. Peck. Mrs. Blanche Jonee, Miss Edna Garfield and Perry Reigelman. Patron and patronesses for the exhibit which will be open until Sunday evening are Prof, and M re. Morton E. At a meeting of the Spanish War Veterans auxiliary Id the armory tomorrow the local group will have as a special guest the department president Mrs. Leon "W. Hyde of Hilleboro. Mrs. Hyde Is making ber official tour of in spection. A covered dish luncheon will be served at one o'clock. All mem bers of the auxiliary are asked to attend. Officers for the coming year Will be chosen Wednesday after noon when the general ladies' aid society ot the Jason Lee church will meet in the church parlors beginning at 2:30. Hubbard was delightfully celebrated on Sunday when her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Graber, Jr., entertained at a family dinner tn hir honor. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hubbard, Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Hubbard, Mire Mildred and Miss Helen Hubbard, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Graber and Kenneth and Mel born Graber. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hubbard are pioneers and recently cele brated their sixty fifth wedding anniversary. Mr. Hubbard Is in his eighty eighth year. The annual masquerade party at which Mrs. Ralph White is hostess to the progressive danc ing club an event of tonight promises to be a gala affair. Forty five couples are mem bers of the club and ten more have been specially bidden. During the evening Mrs. William runk will give several vocal so los and Miss Dorothy Felker will give a feature dance, "L'Artlste." Attractive Valentine decora tions have been arranged with hundreds of hearts and soft red lights predominating. The business and professional women's club will hold their monthly dinner meeting tomor row evening in the chamber of commerce rooms. Special guests at dinner which wil! be served at 6:30 will be Mrs. V. S. Kin ney, senator from Astoria, and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Euwer of Portland. During the dinner hour Senator Kinuey will make a short talk. On the program announced for the meeting which will open at eight o'clock is the play "Copper the Pile," which Mrs. Haley Is directing.
