CLASSIFICATION OF STAGES AND TRUCKS FIXED Commercially operated automo biles and trucks are divided Into three classifications in the revised rules and regulations governing the operation of these carrier which have just been Issued by the public service commission. ' The new rules, it is explained,, are designed to remove undue bur-' dens placed upon certain classes of. automobile and truck operators under the original code of regu lations and are the result of the hearing recently held here al -which more than 200 Interested operators were present to air their views ot the rules laid down by the commission. ; Under the new rules stage and truck lines operating between fix ed termini are placed under one class, taxicabs, for-hire cars and trucks available for service to any point in the state are in another class and the third class Includes taxi-cabs, for-hire cars and trucks , operating locally within a radius , of five miles. - '.: The greatest change Involved In ' the new rules Is found In the good faith bond required of the differ ent class ot carriers. Under class one this bond is fixed at $1000, he second class requires a bond ot ' $250 and the third class $100. The commission reserves the right to make exceptions to the- rules and regulations upon a show Ing that a hardship Is imposed up on either the public or the opera tor in the case of carriers In rural districts through a strict compli ance with the promulgated rules.
