Three Million Pounds of Prunes Shipped To Date With Salem well up in the list of heavy prune shipping points, more than 3,000,000 pounds of the new' crop of prunes hav been shipped by the Oregon Cooperative association since the first car rolled earlier In the fall. Nearly fifty solid cars have been Bhipped from association warehouses in ad dition' to numerous smaller lots. The plants have been busy filling orders. ; The, marketing problem , of last year was one of -disposing of small prunes. This year with a light crop and with the small prunes nearly all cleaned up It Is not ex pected that difficulty will be en countered in disposing of the re mainder of the crop which will be of the best quality and of large frizes. Instead of giving away four hundred dogs as advertised, we gave out over 600 the first two days and wired the wholesale houses of Seattle, Portland and San -Francisco, for all they could supply us with. These shipments will begin arriving shortly and all children will be notified by mail.
