Direction of Student Work Centralized Student body president, Benja mon Rickli of Willamette Univer sity is making rimself aggressive ly active in constructive organiza tion and forming of plans that will bring definite improvement to the school. To assure ready action when improvement is need ed, and continuous vigilance, Rickli has appointed two perma nent committees. One is to be known as the cam pus committee. This committee shall take the place of the old Greater Willamette club, now an extinct club, whose functions were various. Rickli s criticism of the Greater Willamette club is that it was too large and unwieldly an or ganization to remain alert and to work consistently. The campus committee will have supervision of campus improvements. It will be responsible for the appearance and upkeep of tre grounds of the institution and shall have author ity to take the initiative and act The second committee will be known as the committee on troph ies. At present trophies are scat tered about and are looked after by no one in particular. Rickli's purpose is to get these collected, taken care of and put upon display in the university library. The members appointed on the campus committee are: Harry Rarey, chairman assisted by Mis.s Elane Oberg Miss Helen Hooyer, Cecil Shotwell and Leland Chapin. The trophy committee will consist of Dean Pollock, chairman, assist ed by Miss Mabel Davies and Hugh Doney.
