Damage Case Is
Settled Out of
Court; RiggsPays
Woodburn, Dec. 13. The dlffl
culty between Geo. Ballw.ibber Jr.
of this city, and Zadoc Rlggs of
Salem, growing out of an accrdent
which occured on the Pacific high
way near here a week ago, has been
settled out of court. Ballwebber,
after some little hesitation, finally
agreed to accept payment of
$205.60 for the loss of his horse
and buggy caused when Rlggs'
car collided with his buggy. In
the transaction Mr. Rlggs agret-a
to pay the attorney's fees.
Mr. Hallwebber was slightly in
jured when the accident occurred,
but has almost fully recovered".
Mr. Rlggo' car was thrown In the
ditch when the collision occurred
and at the time he stated that Ball
webber was as much responsible
for the uccldent as he.
