DUTCH HAY PROTECT EX-KAISER AT The Hague, Saturday. Feb. 21. Before answering the last allied note relative to the extradition of former Emperor William, the Dutch govern ment is expected to assure itself that the erstwhile monarch is willing to settle down for life at Doom and not disturb the world's peace. While, m answering the original demand for ex tradition, the Dutch government aw ing without consulting Count Hohen tollein in any way, a different course may be pursued in the present in stance. Holland will undoubtedly reply she is willing to guard William of Hohen- xollern closely at Doom and accept re sponsibility for preventing any danger to the world peace, but it will probably be necessary to consult the exile before replying. No difficulty is anticipated in this connection as Count Hohen zollern is reported to he ready lo u cept Doom as a haven for the rest or his life. Incorporations. The Harrisburg Lumber and Man ufacturing company of Harrisburg. Linn county, capitalized at $75,000 filed articles of incorporation with the corporation department here to day. The Incorporators are Otto C. Luccke, George J. Wilhelm and Robt K. Burton. Articles were also filed today by the Sparks Amusement company, of Condon, capitalized at $15,000 with J. B. Sparks, Llllie Cross and Dan Thorvenel named as the incorporat ors. Permission to operate ln Oregon was granted by the department today to the Sumpter Valley Smelter com pany Washington corporation, cap italized at $500,000. J. A. Gyllenberg of Baker Is named as attorney In fact for Oregon. The French with the American breakfast which was demanded by the American soldiers and others from this country who were called toJ France during the war. The French breakfast consists of a roll and coffee. while the Americans demanded eggs and bacon as well. School Report Shows Good Wcrk in All Districts The office of County Superintendent of Schools W. M. Smith has completed a compilation of school activities in Marion county districts for the month of January, 1920. The report gives all schools credit for unusually good at tendance during the mid-winter month The work of the school suprevisors and of the county superintendent in school inspection is also shwn. One factor which tended to interfere with school work during the first month of the year was the' prevelance of con tagious diseases. The report follows: Number of pupils enrolled 8,973 Total days attendance ,.133,95 Total days absence 8,753 Per cent of attendance 93.8 Number of pupils neither ab sent nor late 3,843 Number of visit by parents 377 Number of visits by superin tendent and supervisors 70 a Eugene Expecting To Get Terminal Now At Junction Eugene Or., Feb. 21. It has been reported here in connection with the return of the railroads to private own ership that the through freight divis ion which has been located at Junc tion City for many years soon will be changed to Eugene. All through freight trains would then be made up In Eugene instead of Junction City, which is 14 miles north of Eugene. The train men's run .would extend from Portland to Eugene and from Eugene to Roseburg. Before the government took over the railroads the company changed the local freight division from Junction City to Eugene and it was semi-offi-cially announced rjt that, Aime that the through freight division wouift afco be moved to this city but soon after ward the war came on and plans were dropped for the time being. Eugene is the terminus of the Coos Bay branch, the West Side branch, the Wendling branch and the Oak Ridge branch, and trains from all of these make this city their headquarters.
