Sheehy steps down at Josephy Center
New development
director is sought
By BILL BRADSHAW
Wallowa County Chieftain
JOSEPH — Kellee
Sheehy, who has been
development director at
the Josephy Center for Arts
and Culture for the past two
years, is stepping down as
of Friday, Sept. 17, she
announced last week.
“I do some personal con-
sulting work from home
and will likely continue
that, but my main focus
right now is my kids,” she
said in a statement. “For
deeply personal reasons,
I am stepping away from
my position as the develop-
ment director at the Jose-
phy Center.”
Sheehy said she hopes
the Wallowa County com-
munity will continue to
support the center.
“I’ve had a wonderful
experience working here
and am honored to have
been part of this amazing
organization even for a rel-
atively short time,” she
stated. “The things I’ve
learned, the relationships
I’ve made and the gener-
osity I’ve witnessed, have
been an invaluable part of
my life experience. And
while I’m certainly proud
of my personal accom-
plishments, I’m even more
proud of what we accom-

She was particularly
appreciative to those who
support what the center
does.
“Thank you for making
all of it possible,” she said.
“Thank you for support-
ing arts and culture. Thank
you for supporting chil-
dren, creativity, freedom of
expression and the future
of Wallowa County. Please
continue to support the
Josephy Center so it can
continue to grow alongside
your needs.”
She said she doesn’t
expect to entirely step
away from the center.
“There’s no doubt that
you will see me around the
center — maybe teaching
a dance class, ringing you
out at the docent desk or
even in the art room trying
to put paint on some poor,
unsuspecting canvas,” she
stated.
Center Director Cheryl
Coughlan said that the
center does not yet have
a replacement for Sheehy
lined up, and is in the
process of advertising
for one. As development
director, Sheehy was a
senior staff member in
charge of fundraising,
writing grants, public-

(Davis) Henderson. Naomi passed away at home on
08/20/21. Naomi married Lloyd T. Doss in 1942. They
had three children, Dennis, baby Mary Ellen and

The opportunity arose and Lloyd and Naomi
and Tim moved back to Wallowa County in 1963
and purchased the Imnaha Store. The store was a
challenge they met with success and love. Later on
Naomi became the Imnaha Post Master. She loved it.
She was eager to help anyone with matters postal and other. Doing something
was always better than doing nothing.
Naomi enjoyed life. She was proud of her friendships. She could discuss
almost anything with almost anyone. She had that gift. To the many friends of
Naomi, thank you for those years.
All of the above named and some not received what we called the off and
on talk. Delivered as consoler, cheerleader or drill sergeant. A pep talk ending
with “you have what it takes, get off your ass and on your feet.” She could be
direct.
She was preceded in death by baby Mary Ellen, husband Lloyd and son

William “Will” Jordan Voss, known by many as
Will Bill, age 30 of Enterprise, Oregon died Thursday,
September 2, 2021 by his own hand. Will was born
December 1, 1990 in Ashland, Oregon and raised by
his parents, Dwayne and Carol Voss along with his

older hunting, fishing and chasing his hound dogs
through the snow.
After graduating from Enterprise High School in 2009, Will went on to
work a variety of different jobs, including fighting fire, before settling back in
Joseph to work on the family ranch. Will started dating Jessica “Jessi” Probert
and later proposed New Year’s Eve 2016. They married on the Lightning Creek
Ranch September 2, 2017. They enjoyed spending time together on the Voss
and Probert ranches, raising cattle and spending their time outdoors. Will
enjoyed taking care of his heifers so much, Jessi joked she wished that Will
wanted to spend as much time with her as he did the heifers. Will and Jessi
welcomed their first child, a son, Augustus Jack on April 16, 2019. Followed
two years later, by daughter DaniRae Dayle on August 9, 2021.

father, son and friend to many. Will lost his passion for life in the darkness but
his family wants everyone to remember his good attributes and his love for his
family and friends. Please remember he was a wonderful man and his ending
is not his story.”
