Exhibits must be owned by June 1 and cared for by 4- H member. 2. 4-H members must be present to show their animals. Each member will carry his or her animal to judging table and show them while they are being judged. 3. 4-H rabbits/poultry will be judged by the “merit” method and lined in groups according to quality. Meat confor- mation and production will be emphasized in judging. 4. Any rabbit that has a permanent defect will be placed in the white ribbon group. Any rabbit that has a cor- rectable problem shall, at the judges’ discretion, be placed in the red or white ribbon group. All breeds in each class shown together except when three or more of same breed. 6. A list of market rabbit breeds can be found on page 9 of the 4-H Rabbit Project Manual. These breeds are listed as meat under primary use. 7. Rabbit/poultry exhibit with parasites will be sent home. 8. Small Animal Barn closed to the public during health checks, entries and pen judging. 9. 4-H members who qualify for State Fair Small Animal entries must use State Fair Class numbers. The class numbers listed below are “County Only” class num- bers. Check State Fair Book for entry numbers. 10. No dogs in the small animal barn. 11. On the day of the show, all small animals need to remain penned until called for classes. (Locks for cages are recommended.)
