Joseph High School
Concert 7 p.m. at the school,
400 East Williams Ave., Joseph.
Students in grades 7-12 will
perform a concert “Legends
of Rock and Roll,” featuring
the school’s band and choir
members dressed as classic
rock musicians from decades
past. Audience members are
encouraged to dress in costume
as well. Music from Queen, Led
Zeppelin, The Eagles, Blondie,
Kansas and others.
Wallowa Public Li-
brary will host children’s
author Nancy Coffelt who
will share her knowledge
of the total eclipse of the
sun.

Sally Lynn Northon Byers was born Sept. 15, 1959, in Oak-
land, Calif. She was raised in Bend, Ore., on a horse ranch
where she became a champion in horsemanship competition.
She was a lover of gymnastics and competed in junior high
school where she won many honors.
A loving mother of two, Katie and Daniel, she later moved
to Joseph and Wallowa Lake with her parents. She spent time
with her many pets, in watersports and gardening. She was a
fantastic cook.
She is survived by her children, Katie Marie Byers and Dan-
iel Mitchell; her parents, Dick and Jeanne Northon; and her sis-
ter Mary Northon Hetz. She will be dearly missed by her friends
and family.

Imnaha Postmaster Bonnie Marks inaccurately stated she
took over the job at the retirement of Naomi Doss. Dick
Patton of Joseph was actually the Imnaha Postmaster im-
mediately prior to Marks.
