The contest is open to all amateur photographers from Wallowa County those who vacationed here, and can be of any subject and snapped at any time. All submitted photos will be displayed on the Chieftain’s website as they are received. Each contestant may submit as many as fi ve photos, with each photo being of a distinct subject. Photos that were pre- viously winners of the contest are not eligible to be resubmit- ted. There are two divisions, those for students age 17 and younger and for adults. The People’s Choice awards will be given to the most popular submitted pho- tos, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each division. Every- one can vote by browsing the Chieftain’s contest web page and choosing their favorite student photo and their favor- ite adult photo. Prizes are $40, $20, $10, plus certifi cates. Overall best photos, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each of the two divisions is de- termined by the judges. Prizes are $40, $20, and $10, plus certifi cates. Honorable Men- tions may be awarded a the discretion of the judges. Prizes for Honorable Mentions will be certifi cates.
