programs packed
with fun

The summer reading program is about to
launch across the valley and events, reading
goals, prizes and celebrations of all kinds are
planned. Here are the
various programs city by city:
Enterprise Public Library
Mon. – Thurs., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Kindergarten – Sixth Grade: Sign up at the
Enterprise Public Library any time after
June 9. Set an independent reading goal.
As you read toward your goal, turn in pages
or hours read to earn prizes. Earn small
items quickly in the “Library Store” or save
throughout the summer for more expensive
rewards. Participate during any open
library hours.
• Seventh Grade – Twelfth Grade: Visit the
library each week. Find hidden item and
sign up for the weekly drawing held each
week from June 10-July 24. Each week one
lucky teen wins $10’s in
buckskin bucks.
• For Preschool Families: Moms and dads
set a read aloud goal for your family this
summer. Reach that goal and enter our
drawing for families.
• Special Event: June 16, 3 p.m., Charlie
Brown Juggling Comedy at the Library.

• Kindergarten- 2nd grade: Weekly, half-
hour programs, 11:30 a.m. to noon,
Fridays beginning June 19-July 31.

program. Children earn candy or a little
prize for one book or save up and get prizes

approximately 25 children last year for
a summer of good fun and good reading.
The theme for this summer is “Every Hero
Has a Story.” All of the programs are
entirely free and designed to be fun
and educational.

special guest and everyone is invited to

• Friday, July 3, 10 a.m. to noon, meet at
Wallowa City Hall for fun activities.

costume, ride your bike if you want.
• Friday, August 14, 10 a.m. to noon, meet at
Wallowa City Hall for the Finale Tour the
Wallowa Fire Station
