The Memorial Scholarship program awards college scholarships to local students majoring in agricul- ture and natural resource-related coursework. To be considered, students must be enrolled in D YRFDWLRQDO FHUWL¿FDWLRQ SUR- gram, or a two- to four-year col- lege degree program or graduate program. Applicants should live in Wallowa County and should have attended school in Wal- lowa County. Both graduating seniors and students presently enrolled in post-high school pro- grams are eligible, with prefer- ence given to students in at least their second year of study. Hootenanny fundraiser turns 3 By Steve Tool Wallowa County Chieftain The third annual Hootenan- ny and Shoo-Fly Pie Social spring fundraiser for the Wal- lowa Valley Musical Alliance is scheduled for a May 17 per- formance. The event starts at 4 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall in Enterprise. Admission is $10.
