The Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office along with OSP and emergency medical personnel
responded to a report of a suicidal female subject on the bank of Wallowa Lake Friday
afternoon, April 3. The subject, who could not swim, skirted the edge of the water with
police in pursuit, talking to her. She had two knives. A sheriff’s deputy and a state
policeman eventually convinced her to give up, and she was transported to Wallowa
Memorial Hospital.
