The bride is the daughter of James Coons of Eugene and Mrs. Melvin Christ enson of Yakima, Wash. Following her graduation from Bend high school with the elass of lirl, she was employed by Pacific Telephone and Tele graph Co. She made her home in Bend with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Carter. The bridegroom, also a member of the 1954 class, joined the Navy following graduation. He is sta tioned on the Destroyer USS Hope well at San Diego. Rev. R. E. Ylvisaker officiated at the ceremony. Mrs. Nels Skjer- saa was organist, playing the traditional wedding marches and accompanying Miss Karen Chap man, who sang "Tell Me." Aunt Is Attendant Mi's. Carter was the bride's at tendunt. and Bob Newman, s ' friend of ttie bridegroom since earlv childhood, was best man Carol de Broekert and Richard Nickel, brother-in-law of the bride eroom, ushered. The bride wore a beige suit, ac cented bv pink and blue eossories and a white- orchid cor sage. Mrs. Carter wore a gray suit, with rd accessories and rnrsaue of red rosebuds. The bride's mother wore a suit in avo cado green, with yellow accessor ies and, a corsage repealing the (ones of the costume. Mrs. Wani ehek chose an afternoon dross in navy blue and white stripe, worn with white accessories and a red corsage. Reception In Hltl Deep rose peonies ami lavender lilacs decorated the church par lors, where the reception was held. The three-tier wedding cake was garlanded with pink roses. White and silver bells provided a dock irrniind for the bride's table. Miss Aria Fordham cut the wed ding cake. Pouring were Mrs. Richard Nickel, sister of the bride groom, and Mrs. Hugh Morris. Hoover Family Reunion is Held At Bend Home A family reunion honoring Mrs -.'orge ' Hoover, early-day resi dent of Bend, was held here over he weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice H. Hoover, 862 Riverside drive. Present were sons and daughters nnd tiieir families that included grandchildren and great - grand children of Mrs. Hoover. Among those present were Myrl P. Prineville Group Plans to Organize Drill Team Soon Special to The Bulletin PRINKVILLE The Prineville Ladies of Elks completed the club's organization structure at business meeting lust Thursday evening in the Elks hall. The ijroup voted to organize a drill learn, and President Mrs. A. M. Reynolds named committees to serve for the coming year. Several projects were discussed, including the purchase of a coffer urn for the lodge hull, the pur- hase of card table covers, and a pot luck supper for men of the Elks be held in the near future. Women also agreed to assist the men's lodge in a summer picnic. if such an event is scheduled. All eligible women interested In joining the drill team nre to meet it the lodge hall at 7 pm. July 7. (Photo for The Bulletin by Forget Studio) Hibbert-Woods Vows Said In McMinnville St. Barnabas Episcopal church in McMinnville was the scene of the marriage of Richard Tudor Hibbert and Miss Jennie Lee Woods, Sunday afternoon, June 12. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Glcss of Bend. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred H. Hibbert of Sheridan. The Rev. A- H. Mac- Donnell performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of 150 relatives and friends. The newlyweds are in Bend this week and will leave next Monduy for Bremerton, where the bride groom will be stationed for four months as an ensign in the U.S. Nuvy. From there he will go to Long Beach, Calif., followed by overseas duty. For her wedding, the former Miss Woods chose a gown of tra ditional white, fashioned with an embroidered tulle bodice with jjeplum and a skirt of tiered nylon net. A heart-shaped hat of lace with seed pearls held her finger tip veil of silk illusion, and she carried a shower bouquet of pinr bouvardia centered with a white orchid. Her father gave her In marriage. Attendants Wear Pink Mrs. Richard Daoust of Bene" was matron of honor, and brides maids were Miss Rosanne Jeffer son of Madras, Miss Evelyn Can?v perelli of Portland and Miss Caro' Malmgreen of San Gabriel. The at tendants wore gowns of pink nylon net over taffeta, with pink net hats. They carried tulle-edged nosegays of pink sweet peas and rosebuds. Robert Hibbert of Sheridan wuk best man for his brother, and John Woods of Bend, brother of the bride, was one of the four ushers Lincoln Graner of McMinnville was organist, and Miss Br-'-ra Brykit of Sheridan sang "M'lje Lord's Prayer" and "O Perfect Ixve" Baskets of pink and white gladi- lous formed the altar setting and pink and white satin bows marked tiie pews. The former Miss Woods majored in education, and Hibbert specialized in business technology. Im mediately afterw-ird. the bridal couple left for Fort Bennlng, Ga where the bridegroom w-us to en ter the United States Army as a second lieutenant. For going away, the bride wore a two-piece knit suit in beige, with whie acces: sories and an orchid corsage. The former Miss James gruduat d from Grants Pass high school in litftf. She was a student for two years at Oregon State college, where she was affiliated with Del ta Delta Delta sorority. The bride groom graduated from Bend high school and was a senior at Oregon State. His fraternity is Delta Up silon. Among the out-of-town guests, in addition to the bridegroom's par ents and the best man, was Ger ald Gerke of Prineville. Closing Program Given by School Special (o The Bulletin ALFALFA Thirty - one chil dren who attended vacation Bible school at the Alfalfa grange hall participated In a closing program1 there last Friday night- Also pres ent were atwut 35 friends. The school was sponsored by Westmin ster Orthodox Presbyterian church of Bend. Rev. Edward Wybenga was in diarge. All departments of the school took part in the program. Assist ing with solo parts were Ruby Tatli and Danny Page, accordion ists. Jane Wvbenga was pianist. Charlotte Falk received a pen set for bringing the most children to Bible school. Eleven others also ecelved nrizes for their standing In a contest, points being given for attendance, memory work, con duct and neatness. Rev.
