The couple will make their home in Redmond, where the groom is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ivancovich spent the week end in Redfond th relatives. They had returned from a honeymoon trip to the coast. They left Sunday for Cor vallis, where the groom will com plete his college course during the fall and where Mrs, ivanco vich will be employed. Officers of the Redmond chap ter of the Kastern Star will go to Madras to attend a district meeting Friday, September 22. The Redmond representatives will have charge of the balloting. The Madras group will direct the opening and closing ceremo nies; Bend, escorts, and Prine ville, degrees of order.-A dinner will be servea oeiore me meet- inc. - . Mrs. Inez Donahue took her daughter, Roberta, to Corvallis Tuesday. Roberta will be a senior at Oregon State college this fall. Mrs. Earl Hallock was a Bend visitor September 18. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Davidson and Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hazen are on a combined business and pleasure trip to Seattle. In beat tie they are guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Gariss. . Mr. and Mrs. C. Best, who have been living in the John Day vicinity for the past year, have moved back to Redmond. ; Mrs. Ruth Sharp spent the week end in Redmond as a guest Df her mother, Mrs. R. L. Moore. Mrs. Sharp and her children plan to move to Redmond to make their home. They formerly lived here. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lang enberg and children, Caroline, Patsy, and Helen, and Ronnie Langenberg of Sacrament were Friday night dinner guests of Mrs. Frances Rippen and her daughter, Betty. , Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Musick, accompanied by Mrs. Bill Hend ricks and her infant daughter, arrived in Powell Butte Monday nicht from Seattle. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Simmons and daughters from Walla Walla, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Harold over the week end. The Misses Anne McKay and Louise Harold spent the week end with friends at Newport. They attended the Redmond Newport game Friday night. Back From Trip ' Sisters, Sept. 21 (Special) Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Smalley returned home last Tuesday after spending two days in Portland. Smalley at tended the ninth regional conven tion of the National Rural Electri fication -association. Smalley is one of the directors of the local REA at Redmond and was sent' to Portland as a delegate. The Smalleys also visited at the home of their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul smalley of Portland. Mrs. Margaret Miller left last Wednesday to visit ner niece, Mrs. George'Kline, at Eugene. . Frank Long nd Mr. and Mrs. Bruce McEchron and son, Dickie, were week-end visitors from Port land at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.K. Allen. Denny Barclay celebrated his third birthday anniversary last Wednesday with a party of 20 guests. The cake was decorated with horses and cowboys. Hats and balloons ware favors. C. N. McLoughlin of Port An geles came here Thursday to spend a few weeks at the home of his son, liuy Mciougmm. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mc Loughlin and C. N. McLoughlin took Mrs. McLoughlin's infant granddaughter, Marcia Ann ,to the Mt. Hood loop junction, to, meet Mrs. Roy Dempsey and Mrs. Doris' Smith, the baby's mother who took the baby home with her. Lloyd Smith has been confined to the hospital again. His illness has not been diagnosed. Mrs. Aenes Defoe from Lone Creek, visited at the tiome of her sister, Mrs. Melvin Mouser, over the. week end. Mrs. Defoe was tak ing her daughter, Donna Jean, to Eugene to enroll lit the Univer sity of Oregon. , i - v - i Mr. and Mrs. William McClay visited in Salem over the week end with relatives. , - . The Sisters' Church of Christ is cooperating with the "Heifers for Relief" movement, and has pur chased a heifer to send overseas to the needy in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Haynes and , her aunt and uncle of Albany. - Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Noel visited Sunday in Bend at the home of Mrs, Noel's sister and brother-in-law, Mr, and Mrs. C. O. Burkart. " Mr:' and Mrs. George Knox re turned to school tn uugene Mon day. Knox is pastor of the Sisters Churst of Christ and spent the summer here. He is a student at the Northwest Christian college and spends the week ends in Sis ters during uie school year.
