He plans to return to Redmond after the holidays. Miss Virginia Berg and Miss Emily Loening were Bend shop pers Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Duncan went to Portland Sunday to visit their son, Glendon, who is a pa tient in me Doernbecher hospital. Glendon has had several skin gratts and will have several more in the near future. Donald Gunther, freshman at Willamette university, arrived in Reumond Friday night to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gunther. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Davidson made a Monday trip to Portland. Mr. and Mrs L. J. Ganss of Seattle will arrive this week to spend the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Davidson and other relatives. Leonard Kirby suffered a brok en shoulder when he fell from a toboggan on the Tumalo tobog gan run. Leonard is a student at nedmond union high school. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bessey were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Howe. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Davidson were Sunday evening guests ot their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lane Westberg. Mr. and Mrs. Lane Westberg and son, Mike, and Byron Ware, were Prineville business visitors over the week end. Henry Busch and Frank Bour land, of Dufur, and Joe McMurry left for Klamath Falls Sunday to hunt geese. They plan to return Thursuay. Mr. and Mrs. F. Robertson and family plan to spend Christmas in Portland with Robertsons brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. Alibrignt. Donald Pike worked for Priday Hoimes over the week end. Priday Holmes was a visitor at the L. K. Pike home Friday. Redmond union high scnool has taken on a festive air due to the holiday decorations made by the Future Business Leaders of America and their sponsor, Mrs. Irene Boone. The boys from the agriculture department brought in the boughs. Girls who turned out Saturday morning to deco rate were 11a Adams, Joyce Van Matre, Darlene Fields, Mina El liott, and Ruth Klann. Miss Ann McKay will leave Saturday for Klondike to spend the holidays with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. MerritL Miss Ann Bozarth, freshman at Reed college, arrived in Redmond last Wednesday. She is visiting the Jim O'Neills, Mr. and Mrs. John Andrews, and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McCulloch. The latter part of the week she will go to Eu gene to spend Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Clara Bozarth. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hickman and sons were guests of the Wes ley McCullochs Saturday night. Miss Vera Bussett was hostess to the second and third year 4-H cooking girls Monday night at a Christmas party from 7 to 10 p.m. An exchange of gifts was featured. Jack Charleston signed up with the national guards in Bend Mon- day night, when he attended the regular meeting of that organiza tion. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Sloan of S'viss Home will spend Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Evans. Mrs. Sloan's parents. Before re turning to their home they will visit Sloan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Sloan. Lorraine Dunbar, daughter of Mr. and Mis. W. Dunbar, was hostess to 17 friends Saturday night at a Christmas party. Par lor games were played, and after the refreshments ir.ere was an exchange of gifis. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Castille were guests of Airs. Castille's par ents. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Brown, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. L. Eason and Jan Ice were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. V. Holler. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Pauls, Donna Pauls and Eloise Allen were Prineville visitors Sunday, eve ning. bud Henderson, who has been studying music in Portland, has discontinued his course and is at home in Redmond with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hender son. Mrs. John Henderson, Bud, and Carol Helen visited Mrs. Hender son's mother, Mrs. H. E. Keeney, Sunday. Robert Lowell spent Sunday with Sam Lindsay. Janet Boone, who is home for the holidays from Whittier col lege, will assist in the office of tne Baker Feed company while she is in Redmond. Miss Joyce Davis, who has been studying voice In San Fran cisco, returned home over the week end via way of Portland. Joyce Joined Leola and Fred Stev ens in Portland and the group at tended the wedding of the Stev ens' cousin, Edward J. Free, in Eugene Saturday. They came to Reumond Sunday. Mrs. Art Stevens, who has been 111 in Portland for several months, is much improved, according to her daughter, Leola, and is plan ning to be home for Christmas. Miss Betty Humphrey, who is attending Oregon State college, came home Saturday to spend the holidays with her parents. Invitations to the students for the facutly student Christmas party were given out during spe cial class meetings Monday after noon. Mrs. William Young, who has been quite ill, is improving satis factorily, according to friends. Mr. and Mrs. F. Dosser, who have spent the past lew weeks vacationing in California and MeSico, are at home on the Dul irig "ranch.
