The complaint charged that Gary
and Jessie Parker owed the plain
tiff $1682.72 at six per cent inter

ty delivered to the defendants and
asked that the writ be issued.

Pittsburgh, July 21 HI') Unit
ed States Steel boosted Its prices
to an all-time high today by in
ci easing the cost of all finished
steel products an average of $9.34
a ton.
U. S. Steel sets the price pat
tern for the entire industry, and
other large producers were ex
pected to make corresponding
raises. Thus the price boost
eventually will be reflected in all
finished products such as auto
mobiles, refrigerators and elec
trical equipment.
The raise was to compensate
for a nine per cent wage increase
granted its workers last Friday,

Dennis Beaulieu, of 924 Harrl
man, was released from the city
jail last night long enough to
appear in municipal court. He
pleaded guilty to a charge of
drunkenn&s Tuesday morning on
Bond street, and time was set for
two trials on charges to which
he pleaded not guilty. He was
fined $25 and given a 10-day sen
tence on the drunk charge.
He pleaded not guilty to charg
es of drunk driving and hit-and-run
driving. He was arrested
early last Saturday, when the
truck he was operating struck a
parked car owned by Myron Sy
mons. He was in his car, still
intoxicated when officers reach
ed the scene, they said. His trial
