The league-leading Los Angeles squeezed past Hollywood, 2-1, in a daylight game, while San Fran lsco trounced Oakland, 94, and San Diego topped Seattle, 3-2, un der the lights. Portland and Sac ramento were again rained out, and will play a doublcheader to- "'cecil Garriotfs circuit clout in the seventh inning broke a 1-1 tie and gave Angel Pitcher Pete Mallory a win over Twink Earl Escalante. Both pitched six-hit ball. It was Los Angeles' third straight win over the Stars and ninth in 11 starts.
