Jan. 21 - A report on the AAA program for IMG and recommendations for changes lit the I'.m and l'2 program for Ii-schutes county, were presented at the state AAA conference in Corvallis last week by members of the licschuies county delegation. K. M. Wright, chairman of the county AAA committee. In report ing on the 19-Ml program, men tioned as major benefits received during the year under the AAA program the sate of the greater part of the hairy vetch and Aus trian peas raised in Deschutes county to the commodity credit corporation. He also mentioned the grant of aid received by farm ers of the county of bofh vetch seed and phosphate fertiliser. The crop insurance program for wheat got under way here In 13, he said, with 15 applications made. This amount wilt raise considerably for the men will receive a raise in pay starting the 16ih of this month having finished their four months training which they are to have before they receive $30 a month: There ha been four transfers out of our company: Private First 1 Class William Stookey to recruit reception center at Fort Lewis; Private Elmo J. Gibson to head quarters detachment 9th army eorp at Fort Lewis; Private Jack Brtnson to military police com pany and Private Larry Eason to M company 162 Inf. The following are participating Sn schools: Lt. Harold Heiser is going to chemical warfare school ; Vernon Robideaux and Elmer Rogers are going to regimental detachment intelligence school and Sgt. Room MeLeod and Corp oral Maurice Kelly are attending a regimental bayonet school. High school classes are held from 6:30 to 9:30 p. m. on Mon day. Tuesday, Thursday and Fri days for those men who haven't had the chance to finish high school or aim to better themselves by taking subjects that they were unable to take in high school.
