Annual Meet to Be Held
Monday Evening
Ending one of the most success
ful years In the history of the
local organization, the Hend Rifle
club will hold its annual meeting
Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock.
In the Downing club room. Offi
cers will be elected, plans for the
coming year will he discussed and
club activities will be considered.
One of the highlights of the
year's activities was an Oregon
Slate Rifle association postal
match, fired on the indoor range.
Also, a -TO caliher regional match
was held on the range west of
Tumalo, with more than 30 rifle
men from various parts of the
state participating.

attended the state matches at
Clackamas, where they won first
civilian place in the short range
team match and second In the
long range match.
In the Individual matches wil
hurt Buxton won first place in
silver medal, in 600 yard match,
and third place in 600 and 10(0
yard match. Thorn placed third in
dally aggregate match, bronz med
al. Fred Pursley won sixth place
