The first session of the Institute will bo held on the afternoon of July 7 in the Redmond hiRh school. . Institutes similar to the one which will be held in Central Oregon next week have been held in other parts of the stale with marked success. Programs for the Institute are be ing distributed in all parts of Cen tral Oregon hy McPpnald. June 29 Further serious earthquakes in California will not result from the Santa Bar bara temblor. I'ntversity of Califor nia geologists declared here today. "There is no connection whatever between the Montana quake Sunday and the Santa Barbara disturbance. " said J. V. Buwalda. professor of ge ology. He won the American amateur championship and went to the Antwerp Olympic guinea in 1920 with the American team. When he returned he decided to turn professional and he went out looking for matches. The first thing he ran into was a proposition.
