ATTENTION
ELKS!
BIG ELKS RALLY AND SMOKER June 2nd at the Elks Hall. Come
and hear about the plans for the National Convention.
100,000 ELKS from all over the United States will attend the Conven
tion in Portland July 13th to 18th. Many thousands of them will come
by automobile and will tour the Coast States after the Convention. The
hunting, fishing and scenery of Central Oregon will attract many of them
if we advertise our section at the Convention.
The Bend Lodge has arranged for General Headquarters for CENTRAL
OREGON ELKS at the IMPERIAL HOTEL.
The Bend Lodge has arranged for one of the big windows of the Meier
& Frank Store for the Convention Period. This will be used to exhibit
the resources of Central Oregon.
The Bend Lodge is arranging for a vacant city block in which the Cen
tral Oregon Elks can park their cars during the Convention. A watch
man will be kept on the job to check cars in and out.
The Bend Lodge is arranging to furnish a uniform for its members to
use in the Grand Parade.
The Bend Lodge is arranging for a 20-piece Band. The Band will
wear the uniform of the Bend Lodge.
Whether or not you are an Elk you will be interested in this Conven
tion because we are going to advertise Bend and Central Oregon to the
world.
Let's put it over big.
T. H. FOLEY, Exalted Ruler.
T. J. DUFFY, Chairman Convention Committee.
