At the second number of the win tor lyceum course sponsored by the SKevlin-Hixon band, NePomoceno's 1 iltplno Quartet will appear Wednes day evening, December S, at the Grand tlioolre, it was announced to day. As au introductory number a 30 minute concert will be given by the band. The quartet is composed of native musicians, performing on native in struments. While the islanders will specialize in the harmonies of their home country, they are also heralded as being extremely well versed in the classical and popular music of other lands. WILL GIVE TESTS IN SCOUT DEGREES Due to the fact that Monday Is a holiday and many of the families plan to have their Christinas dinner that day, the Boy Scout field day will take place on 'Tuesday. December 27. All scouts are asked to report at Ep worth hall at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning with warm clothes and a package of food suitable for the noon-day lunch. The scout master will be ready to give all field tests in the tenderfoot, second class and first Glass ranks. That's the slo gan adopted by the Bank of Tellur ide. For the first time in years, the teller's cage recently contained noth ing by gold and silver money. All checks were cashed and all large change given in gold and silver coins. Silver dollars, five, ten and 20 dol lar gold pieces were given out in stead of paper money.
