It Is seldom that death calls upon a community with the suddeness and force as that which the Tumalo peo ple have experienced In the taking away of Mrs. George W. Mrs. Moore underwent an opera tion for appendicitis on September. 15th., the operation in itself being entirely successful but complications arose on the following day due to an ailment from which she had suf fered from childhood and while every human effort was put forth and the best of physicians and nurses were In constant attendance yet she grew gradually worse and passed away on Saturday at 1:30 p. m. ! Josephine Bales Moore was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Bales and was born at Mesa, Colorado, on November, 29, 1897, she grew to womanhood in that section and was , united in marriage to George W. Moore at De Beque, Colorado. April 26, 1916. Aside from the sorrowing husband she leaves two loveable children. Ruth aged five years and "Billy" aged one and one half years, her parents. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Bales, four sisters, Mrs. Ray Gerk lng. Edith, Esther and Ruth Bales, and Mrs. Moore and Dorsey Moore.' mother and sister of the husband.
