The will read by Ben Garske, provoked a simi lar amount of mirth among the stu dents. Reception Planned. In the valedictory. Frances Hey burn expressed the devotion of the class of '21 to the high school which It is leaving, and the appreciation of the members for the things done for them by the faculty, board of educa tion, parents and others who have assisted them along the path of learn ing. The class memorial, a beautiful picture of the statue of Lincoln, which is in Lincoln park, Chicago, was presented with fitting remarks by Vance Coyner, class president. Irvin McN'eal accepted on the part of the school. The picture will be hung in the assembly room. Coming as a surprise to all but the members of the class, the final event was the presentation to Miss Harriet I'mbaugh, advisor of the class, with a present in the form of a wrist Watch, together with a bouquet, from the class. Miss Umbaugh's appreci ation and gratitude for this recogni tion of her services to the class was feelingly expressed. Two members of the class have not been able to participate in the events of Commencement week to date. Miss Myrtle Rice is ill, and Miss Fay Con nell, who finished her work in Feb ruary, has not arrived from Portland, where she has been attending busi ness college. The seniors will be entertained to night by the junior class at a recep tion at the Elks' ball. Tomorrow night will be the commencement ex ercises, followed by the alumni re ception In the gymnasium.
