A party of chemists and scientists, headed by Dr. H. H. Rusby, dean of the school of pharmacy at Columbia university, will sail shortly for a scientific exploration of the Amazon valley, In a quest for new plants and drugs of medical value. A govern ment expert in entomology, an au thority on ichthology from the Uni versity of Indiana, and experts from other institutions will accompany the expedition, which is expected to last a year.
