The proprietary medicinos bill has arrived to put to stop to his ora tory. "Quack" remedies are to be prohibited and atl proprietary prepar ations and appliances are to be reg istered complete, with full descrip tion, as well as the owner's name. . Some remedies are prohibited al together. Among these come rem edies for cancer, consumption, lupus, deafness, fits, epilepsy, diabetes, par alysis, locomotor ataxia, Bright's disease and hernia. These may not be sold or offered or advertised for sale, and the prohibition applies to "any medicine or surgical appliance of any kind whatsoever purporting or stated directly, or by implication, to be effective for tbe prevention, cure, or relief of the diseases named."
