brand new feature production, "The
I Light of Victory'. " based on the
magazine story by George Hull.
"Light of Victory" is a patri
otic melo-drama of thex present war.
but is without battle scenes. It is
the story of an American naval of
ficer who renounced his country and
the activities of the German subma
rines in the Pacific. .
Salisbury is seen as Lieutenant
George Benton, U. S. .N., who because
of oyer fondness for the cup that
cheers betrays the confidence of his
country at a critical moment, is left
on a desert ' Isle in disgrace and
comes . to curse the United States,
but who rallies in the hour of crucial
need and saves a United States bat
tleship from destruction at the hands
of a U-boat.
