Calling all Hermiston
Tri-athletes!
PENDLETON — Pendleton Parks &
Rec is gearing up for Pee Wee Flag
Football, from July 30 to Aug.
29, on Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 6 to 7 p.m. at
Community Park
East. Both boys and
girls will play together
in 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th
grade divisions. Practice
will cover football fundamentals
followed by a short, structured
game. A $32 registration
fee includes a team T-shirt.
Parents interested in
coaching should call 541-
276-8100.
HERMISTON — Sign up by July 17
for the Hermiston Kids Triathalon.
This event is a combination
of swimming, biking,
and running in a low-
key, enjoyable race. No
experience is necessary.
Athletes
participate in
age categories of
4-6 years and 7-12 years.
Parents may assist during
the three stages. The event
will be held at 9 a.m. on
Saturday, Aug. 3 at the
Hermiston Family
Aquatic Center.

provides guidance, tips,
and tricks for a successful

small role in J.J.’s film, all

PCA offers movies
and art adventures
PENDLETON — Pendleton
Center for the Arts is hosting
a series of Art Adventure
workshops for children up to
12, with projects tailored for
different ages. Children 8 and
under must have a parent
present. Classes run 10:30
to noon, Tuesdays through
Thursdays, but kids can drop in for
a day or sign up for a full session.
Thematic sessions include: World
of Color (July 9-11); Artsy Science
Party Part 1 (July 16-18); Making
Marks (July 23-25); Artsy
