PENDLETON — Pendleton Parks & Rec is gearing up for Pee Wee Flag Football, from July 30 to Aug. 29, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at Community Park East. Both boys and girls will play together in 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th grade divisions. Practice will cover football fundamentals followed by a short, structured game. A $32 registration fee includes a team T-shirt. Parents interested in coaching should call 541- 276-8100. HERMISTON — Sign up by July 17 for the Hermiston Kids Triathalon. This event is a combination of swimming, biking, and running in a low- key, enjoyable race. No experience is necessary. Athletes participate in age categories of 4-6 years and 7-12 years.
