RECORDS Wednesday, September 5, 2018 East Oregonian PUBLIC SAFETY LOG FRIDAY 8:53 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at Brownfield Park, 12 S. Main St., Pendleton. 8:57 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on the 200 block of North Broad Street, Weston. Deputies arrested two suspects for burglary (see the public safety log for Tuesday). 2:11 p.m. - A Hermiston mother on West Juniper Avenue told police someone entered her vehicle in the night and stole her wallet and children’s backpacks. 7:03 p.m. - A resident of South Hills Apartments, 248 S.W. 28th Drive, Pendleton, told police two other residents threatened them. 7:11 p.m. - A Pendleton resident on Southwest Marshall Avenue told police he let a man claiming to work for the Dish Network come into his home, but he was not able to answer many questions. The Pendleton man said he called the company, which claimed it had no workers in the area checking people’s TV services. The caller described the possible fake worker as a young man, African-American, and about 6-feet 2-inches tall. 7:58 p.m. - A caller reported a female crashed a car at Southwest Third Street and Tahoe Avenue, Pendleton, and was running from the scene. 10:06 p.m. - Staff at the Riverside Sports Bar & Lounge, 1501 Sixth St., Umatilla, called 911 to report a patron was “trying to fight everyone there.” SATURDAY 12:17 a.m. - A 911 caller reported at fight at Crabby’s Underground Saloon & Dance Hall, 220 S.W. First St., Pendleton. 2:05 a.m. - A resident on East Gladys Avenue, Hermiston, reported a prowler pounded on the window. 12:40 p.m. - An Adams couple crashed on Highway 11, sending the passenger to the hospital. Lawrence Coppock, 80, and his wife, Suzanna Coppock, 79, were heading south on the highway when their Chevrolet Lumina rolled near milepost 13, according to Oregon State Police, which did not give a reason for the crash. An ambulance drove Suzanna Coppock to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla. Friends picked up Lawrence Coppock. 5:10 p.m. - Stanfield police responded to Fun Fashions Boutique, 165 W. Coe Ave., after a caller reported finding drugs. 5:17 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on Northwest Stockton Avenue reported his ex-relatives could be stalking him. 5:47 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a call about a gruesome discovery — two butchered sheep near Telephone Pole and Birch Creek roads, Milton-Freewater. The sheep were strangled with wires and their hooves cut off. One of the animals was in a bag and the other in the road. 8:45 p.m. - Pendleton police and fire personnel responded to a residence on Southwest Emigrant Avenue on a report of a heroin overdose. 9:37 p.m. - A man and woman were in a fist fight at West Orchard Avenue and Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston. 9:46 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to Prodigal Son Brewery & Pub, 230 S.E. Court Ave., for two men and a woman fighting. SUNDAY 12:34 a.m. - A resident on West Highland Avenue, Hermiston, reported hearing 15-20 gunshots about 200 yards west of his home. Police did not find any shooters. 7:08 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a lost hunter in the Meacham area. OBITUARIES Eva Jeanette Frost Margaret ‘Lucille’ Faircloth Hermiston August 14, 1922 - September 3, 2018 Pendleton April 16, 1932 - August 29, 2018 Eva Jeanette Frost departed this life on Mon- day, September 3, 2018, at Sun Terrace in Hermiston, Oregon, at the age of 96 and is now joyfully reunited with her husband, Jim. She was born in Hardin, Mon- tana, on August 14, 1922, to parents Glen and Clara Lef- fler John. When she was 12 years old the family moved to La Grande, Ore- Frost gon, where she and her two sisters attended school, and gradu- ated from La Grange High School in 1940. On November 10, 1940, she and James LeRoy Frost of North Powder were united in marriage in Weiser, Idaho. They spent 63 years together as true partners, creating a wonderful life for their family. The marriage was sealed in February of 2004 in the Columbia River Tem- ple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lived in La Grande and Pendleton and moved to Hermiston in 1951 with the railroad. Her kind and gentle spirit touched many fam- ily and friends. She gladly shared homemaking skills she had developed over the years. Eva was a mem- ber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a member and past pres- ident of the Union Pacific Old Timers Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Watermelon Sam’s RV Club and she and Jim traveled to every state as well as parts of Canada and Mexico. Eva is survived by her daughter Linda and hus- band Chet Bohan- non, Camby, Ind.; son Larry Frost and his wife Debra, Maricopa, Ariz.; grandsons Chester Bohan- non, Camby, Ind., Stacy Frost, Van- couver, Wash., and Seth Frost, Grants Pass, Ore.; and nine great-grand- children. Eva was the last of her generation on both sides of the family. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Rod- ney LeRoy; her parents; two sisters; and husband Jim. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Septem- ber 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 850 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston, Ore. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will fol- low at the Hermiston Ceme- tery, Hermiston, Oregon.
