She said she did not know how he got it or where he took it from. 12:22 p.m. - Harassment from neighbors prompted a residents on Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston, to talk to police. 1:01 p.m. - Stanfield police again cited 3D Idapro on Hoosier Lane for four complaints. 1:29 p.m. - Umatilla police responded to Ginger Court for a couch someone dumped in an alley. 2:09 p.m. - A resident on Birch Creek Road, Milton-Freewater, asked to speak to a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy about threatening texts someone sent. 2:18 p.m. - A man told Hermiston police he was the victim of an assault Tuesday night in the parking lot of Walmart, 1350 N. First St. 4:29 p.m. - A 911 caller reported someone left two friendly pit bull mixed dogs in the area of East Ballou Road, Milton-Freewater. 5:02 p.m. - Oregon State Police responded to a crash on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 207 just outside Pendleton. No one was injured. State police found the driver of a Subaru Legacy was talking on her phone in hands-free mode — thus not violating Oregon’s law for driving and using a hand-held device — but she was not paying attention to traffic and drove into the rear of a semi-combination creeping up the hill. A tow truck hauled off the Subaru, and state police cited its driver for following too closely and warned her for careless driving. 7:59 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on West Duane Avenue reported a large black dog that lives near her home lunged at her and tried to attack her. 10:06 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a complaint about fireworks at East Ridgeway Avenue and Northeast Sixth Street. Police didn’t find any suspects. ARRESTS, CITATIONS •Hermiston police arrested Levi George Herman, 37, of Pendleton, for violating parole, resisting arrest and felony methamphetamine possession. •Pendleton police arrested Jordan Lee Swan, 29, of White Swan, Washington, for domestic violence charges of strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
