Lively 7:19 a.m. - Pilot Rock police received a report of a burglary on Northeast Cherry Street that resulted in the theft of meat. 1:32 p.m. - A woman asked to speak to Hermiston police about her ex violating their restraining order. She stated he went to her father’s residence and tried to get information about her. Police determined the complaint was unfounded. 1:41 p.m. - A Hermiston resident told police someone opened up a mobile phone account in her name and used her Social Security number. 2:19 p.m. - A car prowler broke into a vehicle on Northeast Third Place, Hermiston, the vehicle owner reported, and stole two purses and a bucket with $60-70 in change. 6:19 p.m. - Umatilla police looked into a complaint about fireworks on Martin Drive. 7:03 p.m. - The manager of Wildwood RV Park, 82280 Wildwood Lane, Umatilla, asked police for help for a possibly injured kitten under a car. 8:05 p.m. - A caller on Lyle Lane, Milton-Freewater, reported possible drug activity. 9:56 p.m. - Umatilla police headed over to El Monte Street for another complaint about fireworks. The check turned up nothing. TUESDAY 12:27 a.m. - A caller at Wilson Road Mobile Home Park, 600 Wilson Road S.W., Boardman, reported her boyfriend was grabbing her and pushing her out the door. 10:50 a.m. - A female told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office the owner of property on the 74900 block of Brace Road, Irrigon, hit her. 2:15 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a disturbance on the 1700 block of Northeast Third Place. 3:55 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a request for a deputy from a man who said “a guy” came into his home and threatened him at the Northwestern Motel & RV Park, 389 Main St., Heppner. 8:39 p.m. - Boardman police received a call that a male refused to leave a female alone at Subway, 115 Front St. N.E., Boardman. 10:51 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a man “causing an issue” at the River Lodge and Grill, 6 Marine Drive N.E., Boardman. The deputy contacted several people, and they all went their separate ways. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Monday •Stanfield police over the course of an hour issued nine citations for odor violations against 3D IdaPro Solutions. •Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Daryl Bryant Lanphear, 38, of Hermiston, for felony possession of metham- phetamine and falsifying drug test results. •Hermiston police arrested Dawn Patricia Lowe, 45, of Hermiston, on a warrant for failure to appear and charges of delivery and possession of meth, all felonies. Tuesday •Oregon State Police arrested Randall Lee Case, 60, of Pendleton, for second-degree burglary and first-degree theft. •Oregon State Police arrested Kaleb Allan Smith, 34, of Pendleton, for driving while suspended and driving under the influence of intoxicants. Wednesday •Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Sullivan Whistle Jim, 43, of Pendleton, for misdemeanor and felony attempt to elude, misdemeanor reckless driving, and felonies of dangerous drugs, criminal activity in drugs, unauthorized use of a vehicle and on a warrant. Fossil April 12, 1939 - June 30, 2018 Kenneth L. Lively, 79, of Fossil died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at his home. He was born April 12, 1939, at Summer- ville, Georgia. A prayer service will be held Monday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church in Fossil. A dinner will follow at the Isobel Edwards Hall in Fossil. Musicians are asked to bring their musical instruments for a time of remembrance following the dinner. The Community Flea Market is Sat- urday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Roy Raley Park, 1205 S.W. Court Ave. There is no admission fee. Coordinated by Pendleton Parks & Recreation, community members are encouraged to attend and find some treasures. In a Tuesday afternoon press release, special projects coordinator Casey Brown said a number of people have already registered as vendors for the event. “Folks have signed up saying they have household items, baby (clothes/ items), clothing, books, and maybe even some homemade jam and craft items,” she said. Pre-registration is required for ven- dor space, which is $20. Spots will be designated and assigned on a first- come basis. Robots to rock the UAS range for area youth Umatilla County Democrats change meeting date PENDLETON — For an activity that fuses physical robotic toys, digi- tal apps and entertainment experiences, register for Sphero Robots at the UAS. Offered through Pendleton Parks & Recreation, the activity requires an iPod Touch or a smartphone for the app that is used to program and operate the Sphero. Robots will be provided for participants to use during class. The sessions are open to youths ages 10-19. The cost is $48.
