Police took a report for criminal mischief. 2:38 p.m. - And the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received another report of the theft of a vehicle, this time at Pollock & Sons, 78691 Agnew Road, Hermiston. 3:58 p.m. - A man told Hermiston police he filed an identity theft report in Texas involving a Hermiston suspect using his name and Social Security number. He said he would like a call back from an officer. 4:06 p.m. - A man claimed he took his vehicle to a Hermiston audio shop and now his turn signals do not work. He asked to speak to an officer. 4:58 p.m. - Two vehicles hit head-on on Bobwhite Avenue, Umatilla, a 911 caller reported, but was unsure if anyone was injured. 5:30 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to possible domestic violence on the 300 block of East Hurlburt Avenue. 10:35 p.m. - An assault with one victim occurred on the 100 block of North First Street, Hermiston. ARRESTS, CITATIONS •The Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team arrested Vernon Clarke Adams, 43, no address available, for delivery of methamphet- amine, delivery of meth within 1,000 feet of a school, meth possession and violating post-prison supervision. •Hermiston police arrested Shawn Michael Mininger, 21, of Hermiston, for felony possession of a federally controlled substance and second-degree theft. He was born March 7, 1973, to Christine Michael in La Grande, Ore- gon. He spent the next six years liv- ing in Cove, Ore- gon, with his mother and grand- parents Lewis and Michael Evelyn Michael. At age 6 the family moved to Meacham, Ore- gon, where he fell in love with the mountain and all of its wonders. His grand- father taught him how to appreciate it all. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He arranged all of the fami- lies many camping trips and 4-wheeler rides. In 1996 his son Ethan Michael was born. He took great joy in sharing with his son his great love for the outdoors, and all the hunting and fishing. Nearly every weekend he and his son and numerous family and friends loaded up the 4-wheelers for long rides. He was loved and admired by all of his family, friends and all of his vast extended family of hospital employees. He is survived by his lov- ing wife Twyla Michael; mother Christine Michael- Funk; sister Kristy Michael; son Ethan Michael, and stepsons Terry Twidwell and Zern Harkins. He was pre- ceded in death by his grand- parents, Lewis A. and Eve- lyn P. Michael. She was married to John Rosario until 2003 when he passed. She was a waitress/bar- tender for many years at the Saddle, Pony Keg, Led Nickel, Packard and Bur- bank Tavern in Washing- ton.
